Frequently Asked Questions

What is the neurohormonal psychiatric approach?

The neurohormonal approach recognizes that mental health and hormonal health are deeply connected. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, we examine how hormones, like estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, and thyroid, directly affect mood, cognition, and emotional wellbeing. This allows us to address root causes, not just surface-level symptoms.

What conditions do you treat at Solstice?

We specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, hormonal mood disorders, perimenopause and menopause-related mental health changes, PMDD, postpartum mood disorders, and chronic stress. If you're unsure whether your concern fits, reach out, we'll talk through it together.

Is Solstice right for me if I've never seen a therapist or psychiatrist before?

Absolutely. Many of our patients are coming to integrated care for the first time. We meet you where you are, whether you're brand new to mental health support or have been navigating the system for years. There's no prerequisite for wanting to feel better.

How do I get started?

Simply reach out through the contact form or the 'Let's Talk' button on this page. We'll schedule a brief discovery call to understand your needs and determine how Solstice can support you. From there, we'll build a care plan tailored to you.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes, all appointments at Solstice are conducted virtually. This means you can access compassionate, specialized care from wherever you're most comfortable, without commuting or waiting rooms.

What makes Solstice different from a traditional psychiatry practice?

Every appointment is unhurried, relational, and holistic. We look at your hormonal health, lifestyle, nutrition, and mental health together, because you're not a diagnosis, you're a whole person.
